Manita Devkota is Miss Nepal Universe 2018 and an advocate for girl’s education, public health, and women empowerment. She is working to change the current status of Nepali women and girls. Devkota is an ambassador of women’s health at day for Girls International. She is working to change the stigmas and obstacles that menstruating women and girls face in Nepal.
In her free time, Manita enjoys cooking Asian cuisines, traveling the world, hiking, and reading novels. She aspires to be an Attorney to help women in regards to health and women’s rights. If she takes home the crown, she hopes to use her degree to provide health education and advocate for children’s nutrition and maternal health.

Manita Devkota’s Journey in Miss Nepal
Manita Devkota was interested in beauty pageant since her childhood. In 2014, she approached for Miss Nepal but she was not prepared for this competition. At that time she was in abroad for her education. So, this was the dream that seemed far away.
After graduation, she started working with her friends and her friends encouraged her to take a shot. NRN gave her a chance to participate in Miss Nepal and she won the Miss Nepal Universe 2018.
Before winning the Miss Nepal Universe title, she was not thinking about winning. So, she just wanted to have a good time and perform well. And she was enjoying herself.

Early Childhood and Education
11 April 1995 was the day when Manita Devkota was born in one of the beautiful districts of Nepal, Gorkha. She spent most of her childhood in her birthplace.
She completed her schooling in Nepal. Then later Manita and her family move to the United State for further study. She has completed a bachelor in Public Health from East Carolina University.
