Early life and family
Swopnil was born in Chitwan District, Nepal, in a middle-class family. Since childhood, he has had a keen interest in singing. He used to sing Bhajans in family functions. Besides, he performed at the school level and participated in the competition and was able to win many awards.

Pop music was on hit back then, but they broke stereotypes by playing rock music for the first time in Nepal. Further, in the crowd where everyone was composing romantic songs, Swopnil made songs about real-life pain and struggles. Thus, it soon became able to grab much Nepali youth’s attention.
