EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Samriddhi Rai was born on August 13, 1987, in Godawari, Lalitpur. She studied in St.Mary’s school and then, joined St. Xavier’s college for her +2. She majored in media studies and Journalism and graduated from Goldengate College. She was a cheerful child from her childhood. She loved to sing and dance from her early age.
BEAUTY PAGEANTS AND MISS NEPAL
Samriddhi Rai participated in Miss Teen Nepal where she ended up being the second runner up. After her win, she got public recognition and was offered multiple modeling projects. She then participated in Miss Nepal in 2010. She ended up being Top 5 finalists. The title was won by Sadichha Shrestha.
Samriddhi Rai represented Nepal in Miss Tourism Queen International 2011 where she bagged Miss Personality Awards. It was a huge achievement for Nepal to win titles at International pageants at that time. She was also awarded as the second runner-up for the Miss Talent title and was given the opportunity to perform at the grand finale.
She then participated in Miss Tourism Queen Asia where she bagged the Miss Press Princess award and landed up in the Top 20. She also had participated in Miss World University.
MISS NEPAL CONTROVERSY
In an interview, Samriddhi Rai spilled some tea about Miss Nepal. She said that Miss Nepal is not a fair competition as it has some dark sides such as nepotism, favoritism, and bribery. She revealed that she was replaced in Top 3 because the Chairman for Miss Nepal , Gopal Kakshapati didn’t like her. She shares family background plays a substantial role in winning the crown.
Her interview went viral and sparked major controversy amongst the Hidden treasure, Former Miss Nepal, and her. After her interview, Hidden Treasure quickly released the statement saying the claims made by Samriddhi Rai is totally baseless and is not true. The former Miss Nepals also started to call out Samriddhi Rai. However, she fought back saying that what she said is true and she is not trying to pull down the Miss Nepals but just stating the facts. People acclaimed Samriddhi Rai for her bravery and confidence in speaking out the truth.
JOURNALISM CAREER
Majored in Media Studies and Journalism, Samriddhi Rai worked as a journalist for several magazines and weekly. She worked as a Feature writer in Kantipur Publications. She is a former sub-editor at ECS media and has even worked as head of the department in lifestyle edition in Himalayan Times, TGIF. She is also a former bureau chief in M&S Vmag.

The song was written, sung, and composed by Samriddhi herself. The sarangi was played by Kiran Nepali and the music was produced by Rohit Shakya. The song was a super hit and established Samriddhi Rai in the music industry.

Samriddhi Rai then collaborated with Rohit John Chettri and released the song Prayas. The song is about the failed relationship despite the efforts. The song was a superhit and well acclaimed by the public for its meaningful and relatable lyrics and catchy tune.
