Early Age and Education
Rabi Lamichhane completed his early schooling from Bhrikuti Secondary School and then joined Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus for higher study. But due to the unexpected circumstances, he could not continue his study. In his early teenage, he worked for radios and television as a presenter and comedian.
After he moved to the USA, he worked there in various fields like a fast-food chain as a manager. He was a green card holder in the USA but he thought of doing something for the motherland and came back to Nepal after living one decade. He was an American citizen from 2007 to 04 Oct. 2017.

In 2019, rabi married Nikita Poudel who is a Nepalese film producer and former chairperson of the Nepal Film Development Board. The couple married according to the Nepali Hindu tradition in Nagarkot while they received mixed reactions from the Nepali people. Nikita Poudel is the daughter of the Uddav Poudel who spent two years of tenure as chairperson. She became the first female to be the chairperson of the Nepal Film Development Board from 15 December 2017.

The longest time to continuously present a talk show program on broadcast TV is 62 hr 12 min and was hosted by Rabi Lamichhane on News 24 TV in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 11 to 14 April 2013. With that, the previous record was set by two Ukrainian presenters who stayed on the air for 52 hours in 2011.
