Early life and Education
Promise Phan was born on 29 July 1989 in Gorkha, Nepal in Tamang family. She spent her early childhood there. Her birth name is Pratigya Tamang. After moving to America and she knew that her name is difficult to pronounce. So, she changed the name Prathigya to Promise. She has three sisters, Pratichya Tamang, Angelina Tamang, and YouTuber Rose Tamang. Phan finished her schooling from Nepal. Later, Promise moved to America at the age of 15 for study and further career.
Career as a Make up Artist
Promise Phan was very interested in makeup during her school days. She used to try some makeup on her own. After moving to the USA, she started a YouTube channel with the name dope 2111 in 2010. She posted the first video which was a transformation video featuring Avatar on 12 January 2010. She said that she does not take any training and course on make-up. She also claims, she is not a professional make-up artist.
She has done some awesome celebrities transformations such as Michael Jackson, Angelina Jolie, Adriana Lima, and many more. Now she has more than 5.9 million YouTube subscribers till 10th May 2020.
