Menuka Pradhan is a popular Nepali actress best known for her role in Resham Filili , Saili and Gajalu . She debuted in film line in 2011 with the movie Ek din Ek raat . She played roles in dozens of movies including Visa girl , Sungava , Zhingrana, and so on. However, Resham Filili was the movie where she was cast as a lead role.
EARLY LIFE
Menuka Pradhan was born on 23 July 1993 in Chitwan, Nepal. She was interested in acting from her childhood. Her parents were supportive of her decision. At age 12, she got a chance to act in a television series for a local channel in her hometown, Chitwan. Later, she moved to Kathmandu for her higher degree and joined the theatre to learn acting.She joined the acting course from Anup Baral at Actors Studio.
MOVIE CAREER
EK DIN EK RAAT : THE DEBUT
Menuka Pradhan met the director of ‘Ek Din Ek Raat’ director, Dev Kumar Shrestha when she went to the audition of another movie titled ‘Baghchal’. She was then cast in the movie as a supporting role. This marked the debut of Menuka Pradhan in movies.
VISA GIRL , SOONGAVA : DOZENS OF SUPPORTING ROLES
Menuka worked in dozens of movies in supporting roles. She was cast in Visa girl, Soongava, Zhigrana , Vigilante, Utsav, and Talakjung vs Tulke. She was one of the talented actresses who was underrated.
RESHAM FILILI : LEAD ROLE DEBUT
In 2015, Menuka Pradhan was offered the lead role in the movie Resham Filili. The movie was famous for its viral song Jaalma. The movie was also a commercial success and Menuka Pradhan got public recognition for her role and acting. People started acknowledging her talent in acting. She was then offered lead roles in different movies then after. Menuka started working both as lead and supporting actress in movies such as Gajalu, Dui Rupiyaan, Damaru ko Dandibiyo and Lalpurja.

However, Menuka Pradhan got her overnight fame as Saili from the music video Saili by Hemanta Rana. The music video was a superhit . She starred opposite actor Gaurav Pahari. People appreciated their natural acting and the heartwarming theme of the video. The video got several actors and brought fame to Menuka Pradhan. She was being known to a wider scale audience.
