AFC Dream Asia Awards winner, Khusbu Oli is a former model and a prominent social activist who came into the limelight of national media after winning “Miss Teen” title in 2006, just after a year Priyanka Karki won it. She is a beauty queen known more for her social work than a glamorous lifestyle. She was born in a Brahmin family of eastern Nepal. Khusbu had been an ambitious lady since her childhood and even won a beauty pageant for kids at the age of 10.

Education
After completing her high school from Xavier Academy, she went to the University of Oxford for her undergraduate advanced diploma in British and European Studies. In 2013, she graduated with an MSc in International Conflict from Kingston University in southwest London.
Career
Khusbu Oli is a well-known model and has been featured in numerous music videos and commercials as well. Moreover, She is also the founder & president of shelter Ashraya home whose successes included creating new policies on child protection, reforms in birth registration of street-connected children, equal pay for women in labor jobs in rural, government-approved prisoners rehabilitation and integration program, mandatory child protection and safeguarding policies for organizations and innovative strategies and creative advocacy on the development of the program that generated relevant impact on the targeted beneficiaries.
She has partnered with many brands like Vitol, CocaCola, Asian Football Confederation, Air Arabia, South Korean Power Company, Goldstar Shoes, NMB Bank, Sunrise Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, Government of Nepal, R&D Agro-Industry for her non-profit organization.
Social Work Journey
It all started on a cold winter evening when she saw a few children sitting by the fire in Durbar Marg. They had worn-torn clothes and were sniffing glue. It broke her heart and made her feel truly concerned. That very incident triggered her interest in social work and founded Shelter Nepal to help these underprivileged kids. Her main goal is to improve the lives of poor children, provide them with education, rehabilitation, and legal identity. Once the children become capable enough and financially independent, they move out and embark on their journey of life.
