The novel coronavirus is spreading all around the world since several months. The novel coronavirus known as Covid-19 was originated from Wuhan, China in late December. But, China is on the way of recovering from Covid-19 with rapid progress. Now, Italy is the most affected country where more than 59 thousand Covid-19 cases are confirmed and 54 hundred people have died. Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by a coronavirus. The disease causes a respiratory illness with symptoms such as dry cough, fever above 100.4, and in more severe cases, difficulty in breathing. It is very dangerous for those who are patients of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, cancer, etc.

Covid-19 is primarily spread through direct contact with the infected person. It also spreads when infected people cough, sneeze or if a person touches on an object or surface containing the virus. The virus takes serious action or spreads easily in the body after the virus-containing hands aren’t clean and come in contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently and avoid touching your face or avoid close contact (1 meter or 3 feet) with people who are not feeling well.

Fear spreads faster than the virus itself.

The virus itself does not kill people but people’s weakness kills themselves. Virus are very small and can infect every living thing like plants, animals and other bacterium. So sometimes, the virus can be very dangerous for the human body. When a virus infects the human body, they try to capture completely and started spreading over one to other cells.
The human body has natural defenses against a virus. A cell can initiate RNA interface when our body detects virus infection. The immune system also started release T-cells which works to kill the virus. Unfortunately, some viruses can evolve much quicker than the human immune system. And Coronavirus works essentially by attacking the immune system. And it affects more to people with less immunity power.

What to Do?

1. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, or clean them with alcohol-based hand rub or sanitizer.
2. Maintain at least 1-meter distance between you and people coughing or sneezing.
3. Avoid touching your face.
4. Cover your mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing.
5. Stay home, maintain physical distancing and stay away from a large group of people.

What not to Do?

1. Do not be afraid of it or take it as a simple disease.
2. Do not spread wrong messages to the public and do not believe in unofficial sources.
3. The virus itself is not spreading, you may be the next carrier. So, don’t take the responsibility of carrying the virus.

The government is working for you. Now it’s your turn to work for yourself. Stay Safe, Stay Home, Follow the Guidelines by WHO and Government.
