Anushka Shrestha is a winner of Miss Nepal 2019. She is also Miss Nepal Oceania 2018 held in Australia. She also won other titles such as Miss Intellectual and Yamaha Miss Fascino. Miss Nepal World 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada handed over the crown to Shrestha. The grand finale program was held on 9th May 2019 in Laboratory H.S. School premises, Kirtipur Nepal.

Early life and Education
Anushka Shrestha was born in Kathmandu Nepal. She spent her childhood in Kathmandu and did her schooling and +2 at Triyog Schol. After completing her plus two education, she moved to Australia for further education. She finished her bachelor’s education in Sydney Australia.
Career
Anushka Shrestha is a banker by profession and she was working in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia for two years before coming to the Miss Nepal competition. This bank is the biggest financial institution in Australia. She also won various beauty competition titles in Australia and Nepal.
Journey to the Miss Nepal
Anushka Shrestha was working in Australia for two years. She left this job just to participate in the Miss Nepal competition and came to Nepal.
Before participating in Miss Nepal, she has already won the other beauty title. So, she was very interested in the beauty competition from an early age.
In the Miss Nepal finale, she beat 24 participants. Chief Judge asked the same question to all the final seven contestants. The question was “If we focused more on our duties and responsibilities rather than focusing just on our rights and freedom, can we make the world a better place?
Shrestha’s winning answer was “Focusing on our responsibilities more than our rights will certainly change things for the better. Rights and responsibilities are two parts of a coin… but it is high time we asked ourselves: what am I doing to be able to look ourselves in the mirror and say that I have fulfilled all my responsibilities… To be able to that, one surely needs to fulfill responsibilities as a citizen, as a person, as a friend, as a partner. Only when we fulfill all our responsibilities can we ask for our rights.”
