Early Life and Education
Astha Raut was born on 30 April in Kathmandu district of Nepal. She spent her childhood with her musical family. She is the only child in her family. Her father Hari Bahadur Raut is a Lok singer and her mother Sabitri Raut is a teacher and lyricist.
Aastha finished her schooling from the school Milan Bidhya Mandir, Anamnagar, Kathmandu and she finished her plus two education from the CG Manipal Campion College.
Career
Astha Raut was very interested in music since her early childhood. She used to perform dances on stage while she was 3-4 years old. Later, Raut got the offer to play some movies as a child artist but her mother did not allow her to play the movies.
Astha started participating in a singing competition like the Whole Nepal Singing Competition and Kathmandu Valley Singing Competition while she was in grade 5. She got the second position two times in the Whole Nepal Singing competition and won the title three times in Kathmandu Valley Singing competition.
Astha debut in Nepal music industry from child songs. And her first commercial hit song is Saalko Path Tapari. After that, she has done some superhit songs. She is also a playback singer. Some of her hit songs are Saal ko path tapari gasera, Jhumke Bulaki, Chaubandi Ma Patuki, etc. Raut’s debut album is Aadhar in which her mother’s written songs are also included.
