Kalinchowk Cable Car is the third cable car service in Nepal that came into operation in November. After the cable car service, it is easier to get on the top of the Kalinchowk Bhagwati (3842m).

There are four gondolas in the cable car services where 10 persons (up to 800kg) can travel at a time. Cable car service is different from the one being operated at Manakamana and Chandragiri. It is much shorter and smaller in size.

When people talk about Kalinchowk, the only thing that strikes the mind is snow. But Kalinchowk is actually a temple named “Kalinchowk Bhagawati Temple” situated at 3800m elevation. That fact is, Kalinchowk is a sacred place as well. Many people go there to worship with flowers, trident, bells.

In the old days, people used to go to Bhagawati Temple on foot. There is a small town called “Kuri Village” with many hotels, guest houses where you can stay. In recent years many people building new and new guest houses in Kuri Village.
